IWB resources for Australian teachers

Posted by rosiemacalpine on January 14, 2009

Promethean Planet have released a collection of resources (known as a theme) for Australia Day. It includes 30 flipcharts about Australia, eight resource packs, and quality web links with Australian topics for IWBs. The theme will be ‘live’ for about a month, but all the resources will remain on the Promethean website after the month in the Resources section.

If you don’t have Promethean software, you can download a Flipchart Viewer from the Promethean site that will let you view the flipcharts.

New version of Activstudio coming soon!

Posted by rosiemacalpine on January 9, 2009

The Promethean Planet website has a countdown clock for the “free preview of Activsoftware Inspire Edition”. Not long to go!

The last major upgrade of the software was about two years ago  (although there are regular upgrades with significant improvements).  I remember the excitement of seeing the new Version Three which came out during the January school holidays. It gave users full access to actions in Activstudio, something that had been restricted to Developer Edition previously. This is one of the things I love about Activstudio – the ability to control and ‘program’ the software to do as you like.

So it’ll be great to see what Version four has to offer. I’ll post an update here as soon as the clock reaches zero!
